(sorry just saw this comment!...Livestock Guard Dog. (sorry just saw this comment!) We don't get rattle snakes but the occasional rat snake tries to take some chicks. Many people use a minnow trap with an egg inside it. Snake goes in and eats the egg then can't get back out. It works well. Good luck!

LisaLA Muranohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00827994015402999638noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8613339135823962078.post-29584643740270214672019-09-28T17:30:46.405-04:002019-09-28T17:30:46.405-04:00You said you had an LGD on patrol. W...You should get some, waterfowl are really great! We sold the geese because my husband hated them pooping on the patio, but also because I felt guilty when I started a new job and was gone most of the day because they broke out of their run every day and sat by the back door waiting for me to come out (while pooping on the patio! lol). They just loved people and weren't happy when we weren't here. They went to a home with other geese and where the people didn't have to leave every day. I sold the ducks because of a fox problem. A red fox decided he liked duck so I sold them before he caught them all. Took 3 months to get that fox but he's gone now. I may get ducks again this year, I really love them!

LisaLA Muranohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00827994015402999638noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8613339135823962078.post-39685327240962975982017-03-24T12:05:40.877-04:002017-03-24T12:05:40.877-04:00We just got chickens for the first time ever! Why did you end up deciding not to have either for a while?
Thanks for linking up at The Pretty Pintastic Party!Jamie Hhttp://www.asformeandmyhomestead.comnoreply@blogger.com
